Parcel insurance gives senders cover if a parcel is lost or damaged in transit. Here is how Mzigo.online's cover works, from declared value to claims.
When you register a parcel you can declare its value. That declaration sets the cover available under the insurance terms, so it should reflect the real replacement value of the contents — not an inflated figure.
Cover applies to parcels sent through participating courier partners where insurance is selected and the declared value is recorded. Prohibited items, poor packaging and undeclared contents are not covered.
If something goes wrong, open a claim from the tracking page with photos, receipts and a description. The claims team reviews evidence, confirms the payout and records the reference. Mzigo.online is the first Kenyan company to offer parcel insurance.
